"GLACIO" I scream
15/04/2011

Probably you never thought about it, but ice cream is big! It seems that the global ice cream market generated total revenues of $55.4 billion in 2010, representing a compound annual growth rate of 3.8% for the period spanning 2006-2010. And more importantly, the market is expected to accelerate and reach a value of $68 billion by the end of 2015. OK, right!
We love to be a part of something big(ger) and as a matter of fact we know already quite some time the Belgian ice cream producer "Glacio". The company's history dates back to 1972 and the plant has been producing since 1983 the famous Mövenpick ice cream of Schöller (you know the company with the cool retro logo). In early 2000 Schöller was taken over by the Nestle Group and since 2003 Glacio has been producing ice cream under its own label(s).
So where is trainspot involved? Well, we have been asked to help Glacio with their global rebranding so they can take a bigger bite from the ice cream pie.
A first tentative step towards the new identity was made at Foodex (1-4 March) where we tried to collect customer feedback about a shop concept.
In the coming months much more will happen....
