Belgian Beer Weekend 2011 ++

After clocking 15,000 visitors for the first edition of the Belgian Beer Weekend in Tokyo, we felt we didn't reach our peak! Oh no, all the beer fans (and beer importers) asked for more.

After plenty of trappist beers and a few meetings, we came to the luminous idea to expand to other cities in Japan; and kick-off in Osaka! More than once we were warned that Osaka is not the same as Tokyo...

With Typhoon 2 raging thru Osaka on 1 June, we opened Belgian Beer Weekend Osaka on 2 June for 4 days Belgian beer craziness at Shin Umeda City (Umeda Sky Building). Under perfect weather conditions we welcomed, oh yes, 13,000 visitors exploring 48 Belgian beers.

A few months later, Typhoon 12 sweeping across Japan --- just days before BBW Tokyo... We definitely have something with extreme weather, but also with Belgian beer.

From 8 to 11 September, Roppongi Hills Arena was not as we are supposed to know it. Oh no, Hills became a Belgian beer temple, a paradise with 62 beers and 21,000 angels lost in its labyrinth. Bacchus would have loved it.

Something else we love bragging about: the music! Belgian top bands, Daan, Gabriel Rios and Jef Neve Trio played some marvellous sessions.

Belgian beer power, power to the people!

We feel we haven't reached our peak yet. Oh no.

(and of course we made the stupid mistake to name our facebook page "Belgian Beer Weekend Tokyo 2010", a name we cannot change anymore...).
